E A Combs wall clocks with metal cases
The E A Combs range of metal cased clocks offers a choice of quality timepieces from 260 to 920mm (10 to 36in.) in diameter. They can be supplied with a 12 hour dial as standard, as well as 24 hour and baton dials for certain sizes.
The clocks are available with a choice of movement according to their size. Both quartz and radio controlled battery clocks are available up to 635mm, while impulse and mains synchronous can be used in all sizes. These clocks can be supplied in various case finishes, with white, silver, black and grey being the most popular. The 470 and 635mm (19 and 25in.) diameter clocks can be supplied as water resistant units for outdoor use.
Radio controlled battery clocks maintain 100% timekeeping accuracy as well as automatic time changes and will operate in the vast majority of buildings.
Two recent additions to this range are 320mm and 436mm radio controlled clocks fitted with a new 4 battery movement, which allows extended periods of up to 5 years between battery changes. These clocks are particularly useful for offices, classrooms and school halls etc. where they can be left without any need for maintenance for a vastly extended period than before. The costs savings from the extended battery life are significant.

One special item to mention is the 24 hourclock with high quality silver finish anodised aluminium case, white dial with Roman numerals and specialbattery quartz movement.
This clock is similar in appearance to the Shepherd Gate Clock outside the Greenwich Observatory in London. The clock was installed at the gates to the Observatory in 1852 and was the first clock ever to show Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) directly to the public.
