 Small Master Clock M139

This unit is for use with small clock systems of up to 10 clocks and is ideal for advertising clocks as well as clocks in difficult locations. The quartz base sends polarised minute impulses to the slave clocks. It is for indoor use only and cannot be radio controlled.

  • 230 volt/50 -60 Hz +/- 10%
  • Power consumption max 7.5 Va
  • Minute impulses of either 12 or 24 volts
  • Accuracy within 1 minute a year
  • Temperature range -20 to + 70 degrees C
  • Dimensions 105 x 90 x 60mm, w x h x d
  • Weight circa 400gm

Master Clock units

The range of master clocks covers the majority of requirements for hard wired centrally controlled clock systems. The units operate by sending 24 volt impulses each minute to hard wired slave clocks. Those clocks capable of operating in these systems are marked 24v. in the relevant text of the clock pages.

Tempus master clock

  • 230 volt mains power.
  • Single output line capable of operating up to 50 slave clocks, which can be increased to 110 when a converter box is connected to the second Tower Clock output line.
    Additional converter boxes can be added if necessary increasing the capacity by 60 clocks per box.
  • Capable of operating the Heritage range of exterior clocks, which restricts the number of slave clocks to 50.
  • Easy to programme using front LCD display or automatic time correction when linked to MSF or DCF antennas or to a GPS receiver and decoder.
  • Internal battery back up.

 Tempus P master clock

  • Single output line capable of operating up to 75 slave clocks, but with bell ringing programmable option

E A Combs Master Clock M165

The M165 master clock is intended to control small to medium hard wired clock systems of up to 50 clocks by power and data transmission using the DCF code. Systems can be extended by means of additional power boxes that can be easily added.
The unit is supplied complete with a GPS time code receiver for 100% timekeeping accuracy and automatic time changes.

The DCF coded output line (known as the VAPulse) is a 2 wire transmission system for maintenance free self setting slave clocks. It sends both power and data with a self correcting code along a low voltage cable. The major advantages of the VAPulse system are:

1. simple to use operation without any programming of the master clock;
2. clocks set to the correct time within 3 minutes of receiving the coded signal;
3. additional clocks can be added to a system without having to reset all existing clocks.

Specification• IP 65 rated plastic case, 161x166x93mm, for both indoor and outdoor locations
• 2 line LCD display showing time, date and signal details
• 230 volt 50Hz AC power
• GPS time code receiver/decoder with a standard 5 metre length cable
• 1 output line that can be extended by means of additional power boxes
• VAline output code for both power and DCF coded data
• Bell ringing option available
